Recap: SCIO's trade fair debut at LogiMAT 2023

1 booth. 5 brands. 3 days LogiMAT. Hundreds of in-depth conversations with interested trade visitors*, customers and partners*. The SCIO Automation Group was at LogiMAT 2023 and celebrated its trade fair debut with a joint stand: SCIO brands 4am Robotics, 4logix Intrasolutions, Modumaq and PrintoLUX were on hand to help any curious onlookers.

LogiMAT visitors coming from the east entrance of the Stuttgart trade fair center and taking the left aisle towards halls 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 inevitably passed the SCIO stand. A futuristic-looking truss structure with five columns, which was brought together in a circular element in the middle and illuminated with countless colored LED lights. There were also a few rumors that some people were comparing the stand to a spaceship ... Visitors looked over as they walked by, stopped, came closer and were quickly engaged in conversation by the SCIO team.

It wasn’t just SCIO celebrating its trade fair debut with this joint booth, the group’s individual brands were also incredibly excited to present their products at the fair for the first time.

4am Robotics - just registered as a corporate brand by the fact that Mojin Robotics GmbH has been renamed – not only showed the winner of the VDI Innovation Award Logistics 2023 in action, but their latest development as well, an autonomous forklift truck. This will enable processes to be flexibly chained, whilst being fully autonomous: . For the umpteenth time over the three days, our AMC-L picks up a crate from the conveyor belt with its specially designed gripper, places it on one of its shelves and transports it to our new AMR development, the autonomous stacker. Then, in full view of the trade show visitors, it sets the crate down on a Euro pallet balanced on the forks, only to repeat the process shortly afterwards in reverse order. While this is all happening, the APi with its roller conveyor seamlessly picks up a crate at a second station and transfers it back to this station after a short demo run.

It was the first trade fair on German soil for Spanish automation specialist Modumaq, so it was the first major opportunity to demonstrate its credentials as a specialist in ecommerce intralogistics outside Spain.

It was also a world first for 4logix Intrasolutions as SCIO companies MFI GmbH and Schiller Automatisierungstechnik GmbH had only announced the merger of their intralogistics & warehouse automation expertise one day prior to the start of the trade fair.

Our labeling specialist PrintoLUX presented their new SIGNO printing system, and gave a live demonstration of the patented labeling process to interested trade visitors from various industries.

The SCIO HR team was also on hand to represent our group as an employer, with vacancies across all companies for the first time. Colorful goodies with the slogan "Be part of our story" found their way into hundreds of trade fair visitors’ pockets - They can now take a break whenever they need to, and discover our job offers while they’re at it.

What the team here has put together in just a few short months is great and you could really feel the cohesion and our shared vision for flexible intralogistics and warehouse automation as part of the Smart Factory at our booth. Its modular design means that we have an exhibition stand concept that can be adapted to each individual trade fair, so it can be used sustainably in the future. The SCIO teams are already drawing up plans for a few upcoming trade fairs: automatica (27 - 30 June) in Munich and Motek (10 - 13 October) in Stuttgart.
