The SCIO Automation Group acquires MFI GmbH and takes over the fourth automation company within two months. MFI offers specialized automation solutions for the food industry as well as complementary solutions for other industrial end-markets. With this acquisition, SCIO complements its intralogistics expertise by expanding its technological competence into an attractive market fueled by sustainable industry trends.
Headquartered in Benningen am Neckar, MFI was founded in 1994 by Daniel Mihali with focus on electrical engineering and software development. Today, it offers its customers tailor-made intralogistics and robotics solutions with 24/7 support close to their facilities. The transaction is currently subject to approval by the antitrust authorities and is expected to be completed in December 2020.
