Matrix is a highly-skilled controls and robotics engineering specialist with more than 20 years of experience mostly in the automotive sector. This acquisition allows SCIO Automation to complement its discrete automation portfolio as well as US market service offerings.
The signing of the Matrix Engineered Systems deal took place just a few days after a major deal with CEC Controls Company, Inc. In this context, this additional agreement demonstrates the strong strategical focus of SCIO Automation on the North American market and expanding its portfolio continuing their international growth strategy.
Founded in 2001, Matrix Engineered Systems is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA in direct proximity to Member of SCIO Automation Industrial Automation LLC.

Managed by Chris Peel, Mike Gillespie and Phil Ratliff, Matrix provides automation engineering and services for the controls layer. They are defined by providing high-level controls hardware design, PLC and robot programming for the automotive sector, mostly Tier 1 suppliers. Joining the discrete automation business segment, Matrix will be invaluable in serving European customers in the US who require the Group’s expertise in control engineering.
